An ATF Grant was awarded to Meghan Slaughter, who was 14 years old at the time, to help with transportation costs to attend the 2011 North American Junior/Young Riders Championships .  The pair qualified and were selected to compete with the Region 6 FEI Junior Team at the Finals in Lexington, KY.  This necessitated transport of Spinnaker across country from Idaho.  The team finished in 6th place.

This experience helped Meghan to eventually earn her USDF Gold Medal Rider Award in 2014 on Spinnaker.  She joins a small number of Junior Riders in the US to earn this award and the only Junior rider in the state of Idaho.
